The Walloon Lake Association mission is - to preserve, protect and defend the quality, safety and natural beauty of Walloon Lake and its watershed; to work with and exchange data with other environmental organizations and local and state governmental units whose interests are consistent with our goals; to provide timely information pertaining to the preceding, including educational information to our members and the public.
To date, in 2010, there are 719 members of the Association.

Walloon Lake Trust and Conservancy

The Walloon Lake Trust and Conservancy’s mission is - to preserve and protect the quality of Walloon Lake and its watershed, to acquire qualified real property interests and to hold them for conservation purposes, to seek charitable contributions and manage and invest the Trust's financial assets, and to assist the Walloon Lake Association and other environmental organizations who share common goals.

As of September, 2009, 1,913 acres in the Walloon Lake watershed are protected.
