WALLOON LAKE ASSOCIATION 2010 EDUCATION PROGRAMS

During the summer of 2010, the Walloon Lake Association Education Committee has planned monthly presentations that will interest Association members.  Please put the following Programs on your calendar:

Brian Mastenbrook, from the Gaylord MDNRE Operations Center, will provide a slide show on animals, birds of prey and fish that are in the area, and will answer questions from the audience.

Cross Village Rug Works - July 14th   2 PM   Walloon Lake Country Club

Cross Village Rug Works will share the story of how a cottage industry, based on local wool production and rug weaving, is being nurtured in Cross Village to create a self-sustaining artisan community.

SEE North Wild Wings - August 11, 2010   1 PM   Walloon Lake Country Club

Raptor Specialist, Jeremy Stoppa, with North Wings of SEE North will be providing a wonderful Program with firsthand experience and information about Raptors, Nature and Conservation.  Jeremy will be bringing 4 different birds of prey and a golden eagle to the stage.  This will be a wonderful program for all ages!  Don't forget your camera!
